If you want to stay in Ochsenfurt and you are looking for a suitable accommodation, you will find one thing in common: good bourgeois restaurants. But also a very good hotel is in the city and a real secret tip. Only one thing can not be found here: the usual hotel chains.

Wald- und Sporthotel Polisina
Ochsenfurt has a lot of accommodation possibilities. Larger hotels, however, do not exist. With one exception – the Wald- und Sporthotel Polisina.
Located on the outskirts of the city in the direction of Marktbreit. More precisely, beautifully situated in the adjacent forest. And a really good address. The hotel, which has already welcomed so many prominent guests from sports, politics or culture, has more than 80 rooms.
For the Ochsenfurter itself is the “Polisina” like the hotel is generally briefly called, already a real institution. For various holidays, such as Christmas, the house is already bursting at the seams. If you stay here, you can choose between modern or rather typtisch Franconian. Or rustic, with a view of the Maintal or rather the forest. Tennis, sauna, swimming or even massages complete the offer.

Gasthof Bären
A second hotel, which we would like to introduce at this point, is “the bear” in Ochsenfurt. More precisely the Gasthof Bären. This 3 star hotel is located in the suburbs and close to the Obere Tor.
The small house has a good 20 rooms with a beautiful view of the old town of Ochsen. Amenities include free Wi-Fi. Pricey absolutely solid and a good bourgeois and Franconian cuisine as well.

Hotel Garni GoldGemäuer
A real gem: The Hotel GoldGemäuer in Ochsenfurt. The 4-star Hotel Garni offers apart from classic hotel rooms as well as apartments.
The absolute special feature of this hotel is, besides the excellent, central location, the family flair of the hotel and the detail infatuation in the equipment. It is best to get an impression of the house’s photo gallery, which you can find on their website. Absolutely recommendable!

Gasthof zum Schmied
The Gasthof zum Schmied is located in a half-timbered building, which you can not overlook, in the middle of the old town. Directly opposite: St. Andrew’s Church.
The name of the inn goes back to the supposed house of a former settlement from Ochsenfurt from the 13th century. The Ochsenfurter smith looked like the last Stauffenkönig Konradin to a confusion, a tradition that stumbles in several places. When the king was captured and beheaded on his train through Italy, the Saxon blacksmith, who was said to have resembled the king, was remembered. Hansstock, the blacksmith of Ochsenfurt, quickly slipped into the role of the king, and led his army back safely into the Franconian empire.
The inn itself is actually in very old walls. The half-timbered house dates back to the 13th century.

Gasthof Kauzen
Last but not least the Gasthof Kauzen will be presented here. The inn offers guest rooms, which can be booked practically through all the usual booking portals on the Internet. This 2-star hotel offers 6 rooms in total. These are furnished in Franconian style / country house style. The restaurant is also part of this theme. Gasthof Kauzen offers its guests mainly typical Franconian cuisine.
The location is also exceptionally good. The Gasthof Kauzen is located about halfway between the Obere Tor and the Klingentor, directly at the main road (which is probably but traffic-calmed!). Also here again a very old (in the postitive sense) the framework for an overnight stay in Ochsenfurt. The price / performance ratio is good, the rating (about on booking.com) with 8.2 of 10 points very good (as of November 2016)
